About the Author

G. Everett Sloat

I am a 79 year old man who is enchanted by the English language. The bulk of my life has been spent repairing electronic equipment, but that is pretty much in the past and I have turned to messing around with writing mostly for the sheer pleasure it gives me. I am no stranger to a storm at sea. I have personally been caught out while sailing my 23 foot Dutchcraft in the Gulf of Mexico. I know from first-hand experience, the terror of it.

That beautiful book cover you see was designed by my son, David Sloat.
